The second-annual West Contra Costa Education Fair welcomes students and families to explore over 50 public schools and dozens of community-based organizations that serve youth in West Contra Costa.
What Community Leaders Are Saying
“The community wants events like this. It’s definitely important to give the community the information they need to serve their kids better, and to make informed decisions.”
-- Martine Blake, Director of Community Engagement, WCCUSD
“I believe the community needs to know the alternatives that are available. It’s a wonderful example where the charters and the traditional schools came together, to plan it together, to work together, and to pull it off.”
-- Michael Peritz, Retired Teacher, Kennedy High School
“The higher engagement parents have in their child’s education, the better their children do.”
-- Dr. Eric Peterson, Principal, West County Mandarin School
