RTA implements a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum and a culturally responsive academic program. The school supports all students in developing the skills and mindset they need to go to and through college, utilizing the blended learning model in all classrooms to provide each scholar with more personalized and differentiated instruction. RTA also offers tutoring and homework help in its Expanded Learning after school program.
RTA believes in taking a holistic approach when supporting scholars. Restorative justice, mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices are embedded in the school’s system, and each student receives an exclusive social and emotional education through daily RULER (social-emotional learning) and TOOLBOX curricula. RTA also incorporates the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) model to enhance the school’s positive and thriving culture and strives to provide equitable and effective support so that all students receive a quality education.
RTA values its partnership with families as paramount to scholars’ success. Families have opportunities to engage throughout the school year, and RTA provides meaningful community resources and tools for families to use inside and outside the classroom.
